Welcome to our first vlog post following our video now available to watch on YouTube
We chose to visit Birmingham Frankfurt Christmas 2024 on the first Wednesday if it's opening. Visiting in the week is a lot more easier and stress free and I'd highly recommend choosing this rather than a busy weekend. Before we departed we made a visit to Roberto's bar in Halesowen were we enjoyed a sandwich followed by a cheaper Belgian beer "Bavik" for just £5.50. Bavik is a pilsner just what's available on the market but without the price tag. It's refreshing and hoppy and a really nice export lager.
From here we took the local bus to centenary square where the ice rink and big wheel is located. Past the F1 arcade and into the market at Victoria Square. There are more veggie and vegan food options here than ever before as well as your stage offering live music. If you fancy a drink there are lots of drinks options here just look out for signs around the market where you can and can't drink alcohol.

The best way to tackle the market I always find is to walk the one side down and the other back. This makes sure you don't miss anything! From Victoria Square we travelled down the left side of the market and walked all the way to the Bull at the Bull ring shopping centre. After a stroll around the outside of the shopping centre and a toilet stop we then worked our way back. First stop a mulled wine, hot chocolate and a crepe! Mugs require a £5 deposit make sure you keep your token.
The whole of the Christmas market is now very card friendly and after a quick pint stop we continued back to Victoria Square stopping for a beer along the way. Close to Victoria Square I found the vegan food chalet and enjoyed a tasty hot dog and falafel wrap. Both of these were £6.50 with beer £6.50/£7. That might sound a lot but there are pubs in Birmingham charging even more than that so with the festive atmosphere I really enjoyed it.
We finished up by the main stage including singing, dancing, drinking and even fake snow.
In our opinion it was a great market this year and in total our day out cost £100 for both of us in total
